The rose-apple tree in English, the jambu has a great span of branches and thick, leathery leaves providing shelter from the sun. It is believed that Buddha sat under a jambu tree for shade.

We hope reading books from Jambu Press will bring beauty, inspiration, and raise
awareness, like sitting in the shade of a jambu.

An expression of Studio Saraswati, and based in San Francisco, Jambu Press is an independent endeavor run by a dedicated team  of poets, editors, and activists devoted to poetry as a positive path to social change. We are guided by our current managing editor, Minister of the Interiors, Bobby Coleman.
